Who We Are
Marc Gerald
Gerald started his career as an editor at True Detective Magazine, before spending four years writing/producing America’s Most Wanted. While there, he conceived and produced the show’s re-creations as well as countless TV specials for Fox Television. Gerald moved on to produce Six Ways to Sunday and Never Die Alone and to start the ABA Award-winning Old School Books, an independent line at WW Norton, and The Syndicate, a pioneering book/music company with Def Jam. He ultimately moved into representation and spent a decade heading up the publishing division of The Agency Group before the company was acquired by United Talent Agency, where he would spend two years. Gerald started Europa Content in May 2018.
Tess Callero
Tess joined the agency in 2019 after spending four years at Curtis Brown. She is a highly editorial agent who specializes in building platform-driven proposals from the ground up with clients across the nonfiction space, from self-development and business, to mind/body/spirit, health/wellness, and more. Tess also represents mystery, thriller, suspense and romance authors in the adult space. She is on the Board of the AALA and is the Chair of the Media and Digital Innovations Committee. She currently lives in Chicago.
Leah Petrakis
Leah graduated with a degree in Cinema Studies from the Tisch School at NYU where she also served as Music Director of WNYU Radio. She started her publishing career at HarperCollins Children’s Books and most recently worked for the former trade division of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. She joined Europa in August 2021 to work on books at the intersection of literary and pop culture, music titles, memoirs, illustrated projects, and more.
Ashley Coleman
Ashley Coleman began her career as an author out of Flint, Michigan. She rose to literary fame at the age of 23 when she made the New York Times bestseller’s list. Going on to sell over a million books and with numerous best sellers on the shelves, she has amassed a loyal fanbase, but her love for writing doesn’t end at her own. Ashley was inducted to the Writer’s Guild of America in 2017 and began developing television series for Warner Horizon and Universal in 2015. With a keen eye for what makes a good story, Ashley is a lover of both fiction and non-fiction works. She believes that reality is simply chapters of our lives, and that people add a new page too their life stories with every new day that passes. Her ideal client is one that has an authentic human experience that is relatable to the world. With her skilled pen, unconventional background, and years of experience in publishing she can find the most unique story in the most unlikely of places.
