Ronen Givony
Ronen Givony is the founder of Wordless Music. He booked the first appearances in New York by Jóhann Jóhannsson, Flying Lotus, Nicolas Jaar, Perfume Genius, Max Richter, and Julia Holter. He is a curator for festivals and venues in the U.S. and abroad, and the author of three books: 24 HOUR REVENGE THERAPY, the longest entry in Bloomsbury's 33 1/3 series, and NOT FOR YOU: PEARL JAM AND THE PRESENT TENSE, also from Bloomsbury, which became the imprint’s bestselling title of the year. He completed his BA and MA in English Literature at Yale University. A native of South Florida, he lives in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn.
His latest book US V. THEM: The Age of Indie Music and a Decade in New York (2004-2014) from Abrams Press was published March 2026.
